Model railway backgrounds already created for customers

Modellbahnhintergrund Großstadt mit Modellbahnhäusern

This model railway background was created for myself. I needed a city-themed background for my own H0 gauge model railway and couldn’t find a useful model railway background that I liked. The model railway background has a width of 660 cm and a height of 100 cm.

I have now sold this motif to other model railway enthusiasts and so this model railway backdrop now hangs behind several layouts. Once even in Copenhagen. I’m glad that I’m not the only one who likes the design! Here you can see the background in action.

This model railway background was commissioned for an ambitious model railway enthusiast from Bremen. The design is based on my background, but has been expanded and supplemented with many Bremen details and other customer requests. The model railway background is optimized for semi-relief buildings. Therefore, there are various bare walls in front of which semi-relief buildings were then placed. I designed this model railway backdrop for the nominal size H0. You can find photos of the background of the model railway layout here.

This model railway background is also a commissioned work and is an extension of the background in Bremen listed above. The model train background goes on the left side of the long background and extends it around the corner to another wall. In the tiled area of the dam there is a breakthrough in the wall through which two tracks run. The masonry surrounds a tunnel portal. That’s why this wall area is also located further down in the background. Of course, I also laid out this model railway set for the nominal size H0.

This model railway background is also a commission for the nice model railway artist from Bremen. The design is based on photos of my apartment building in Auhagen and matching garages, also from Auhagen. The model cars are from Wiking. Furthermore, various model railway figures have been added to bring more life into the background. The model railway background was designed for a different area of the model railway system. A tunnel passage into the other area of the model railway room had to be integrated. I designed this model railway backdrop for the H0 gauge. You can see this model railway background in action here.

A passion of mine are these H0 scale building models in 1/87 scale. I can therefore simply put together various buildings and photograph them or photograph them individually and then digitally form them into a row of buildings on the screen.

This was very important to me because it gives the impression that the system continues into the distance. It is no longer so easy to see the end of the system. The effect of these backgrounds is actually impressive.
