    We talk about your layout, and you receive a quote covering all costs, including printing.

  • 3 · Order

    If the quote works for you, you place the order. Only then do I start designing.

  • 4 · Draft

    You receive a preview of your backdrop to check.

  • 5 · Fine-tuning

    We adjust everything until it's right for you. Printing only starts after your approval.

  • 6 · Printing and delivery

    Printed to your dimensions – on boards, self-adhesive film or photo paper – and delivered straight to you.

Custom-made backdrop

Your home town, a holiday memory or a big city in the 1960s: I design your model railway backdrop to match the theme, era and dimensions of your layout – for H0, N, TT and other scales on request. If you like, I can work your own photos into it.

What helps me with your request

  • Scale (e.g. H0, N, TT)
  • Dimensions of the backdrop area: length and desired height
  • Theme and era of your layout, e.g. “small town in northern Germany, Epoch III”
  • Is the layout flat, or are there differences in height?
  • A sketch of the layout's topography with heights
  • A few photos of your layout or of motifs you'd like
